Nettleton 15, Newport 14 Deondre Henry tied the game with three minutes left and Isaac Requejo kicked the winning extra point to send Nettleton Junior High to a 15-14 win over Newport on Thursday night. Newport jumped ahead 8-0 in the first quarter, but Nettleton tied the score just before the half. Henry found Jaron Northern for a 35-yard touchdown pass. Then Jacquez Gray ran in the two-point conversion to tie the score. Newport reclaimed the lead in the third quarter but failed on the two-point conversion, setting up Nettleton's late rally.
