A total of 16 teams from across the region will compete in the 2015 HighSchoolOT.com Football Jamboree on Saturday, Aug. 15, at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh. The HighSchoolOT.com Jamboree is not just any scrimmage. The format puts two teams up against each other in a full 100-yard game. Each scrimmage will consist of two halves. Teams will have four downs to get a first down, score, punt the ball away, or turn the ball over on downs. There will be punts and field goal attempts, but the situations are not live, meaning the defense cannot rush the kick. This format allows players and coaches to practice in-game situations in the most game-like atmosphere a scrimmage can provide. Teams who will participate in the HighSchoolOT.com Jamboree include Cardinal Gibbons, Chapel Hill, E.E. Smith, East Wake, Enloe, Green Hope, Lee County, Middle Creek, Millbrook, Northern Durham, Northern Guilford, Panther Creek, Scotland County, Seventy-First, Southern Durham and Wakefield.
