Class 6A Hutchinson will send three girls to the state cross country meet. The Salthawks’ Yazmine Wright finished fourth individually at regionals in Junction City while teammates Parker Atkinson and Jacqueline Lewton also earned state spots. Atkinson finished in 21st place while Lewton crossed the finish line with the 23rd fastest time. As a team, the girls finished fourth. The Hutchinson boys also finished fourth as a team. Sophomore Alexander Mora earned a spot to state with a 10th place showing.
